Elliott's First Thanksgiving

Elliott spent his first Thanksgiving week at Grandma Joan's house with Heather. Joe and Grandpa Phil and Uncle Kyle spent the week in Montana on their annual thanksgiving hunting trip.

Kayak got to go on an official duck/goose hunting trip this year. She had a great time with Joe. She did a great job retrieving the ducks, but wasn't too sure about retrieving the geese. She thought that they were great to chase down though but wasn't sure what to do with them once she got them under control.

Baptism

Elliott was baptised at Roseville Lutheran Church. His godparents are Kyle and Angie. It was an AMAZING day. We were surrounded by over 40 friends and family members who came to support Elliott as he was baptized.

Elliott wore the same gown that his dad wore when he was baptized. Elliott's late great grandma Arline made the gown for Joe when he wore it and it was very special that Elliott was able to wear the gown.
Neela and Elliott-they are 10 weeks apart and destined to be good friends (Elliott looks like a toddler compared to Neela right now though.)

Angie and I have been good friends since kindergarten and have taken many pictures in front of this fireplace. We thought that it would be neat to take a picture in front of the fireplace with our kids.

Halloween

Elliott dressed in many different costumes the week before Halloween and also on the actual day. We went to a party the weekend before Halloween and Joe and I dressed as PUMPKIN FARMERS and Elliott was our pumpkin.
We did a photoshoot at home and here are two of the best pictures, he gave GREAT smiles! We went trick or treating at the Grandparents houses. Elliott's cousins Lily and Nicholas were also there. Lily was a witch, Nicholas was 'Spot' the dalmation and Elliott was a puppy.

A bag of bird seed

My great grandma had breast cancer a LONG time ago, back when there wasn't many options for treatment. I don't know the whole story but I do know that she did have a mastectomy. She didn't have a fancy falsie or reconstructive surgery, she had a bag of bird seed that she replaced every so often. Yep, that's right, she put a bag of bird seed in her bra to fill the empty cup.

I found out about this when I was about 7 or so. My mom was doing some grocery shopping for her and she picked her up a bag of bird seed and I couldn't figure out why my great grandma needed bird seed-she didn't even have a bird feeder. My mom then told me what it was for. I thought this was a little interesting but it was what it was and I didn't think much more about it. I do know that I never looked at a bag of bird seed the same again though.

October is Breast Cancer awareness month and I know that the month is almost over, but it doesn't mean that we stop taking care of our 'girls'. Make sure that you check them monthly and follow up with your Dr. if you find even a little something out of the ordinary.

We are saying our prayers each night for everyone affected by breast cancer, especially the special ladies in the Sunday night knitting group!

Aaron's Baptism

Heather's cousin Amy's son Aaron was baptized on Sunday, October 19th. Aaron is 10 weeks older than Elliott. They can't play with each other right now, but I am sure that they will be good friends as they grow up.

These are the best pictures that we could get of the two of them. Infants are very hard to prop up and take good pictures of.

Look what I can do

Elliott has started smiling and cooing! His happiest time of day is in the morning between 9 and noon with a nap in there somewhere. He loves to talk to just about anyone who will talk to him. Here are some pictures of him talking to Joe last Saturday morning.

Apple Orchard

Joe had the friday off of work so we headed to the Apple Orchard to get Elliott a pumpkin and mom and dad some apple goodies. Elliott slept through most of our time there, he did wake up to eat of course though.Looking for the perfect pumkin

1 Month Check Up

Elliott went in for his 1 month check up at the Dr's. Here are his stats:
Weight: 11lbs, 10ozs 90th%
Height: 22 inches 75%
He is obviously eating well and growing big and strong. He talked to the Dr. almost the entire visit and wiggled around on the table almost in a full circle. I can't believe that he is already 1 month old.

He was sleeping on the couch and all of a sudden he raised his arms up straight in the air and stayed like this for at least 10 minutes while he continued to sleep.

Duluth

Elliott turned 1 month old on Friday, October 10th! Joe had the day off of work so we headed up to Duluth for the day to see the fall colors.
Elliott is ready to hit the road.

The colors were peak but the weather wasn't the best.

Elliott was not very happy that it was raining.

Our first family picture since Elliott's birthday. It was VERY windy and cold and Elliott was not happy to be out in the cold. He was also very hungry so he didn't want to smile for the picture.

The many faces of Elliott

Elliott is beginng to become so expressive. He just startes smiling last week but I have yet to capture that on film. Here are some of the expressions I have captured though...

Note to Self...

DOWNLOAD THE PICTURES OFF OF YOUR CAMERA SOON AFTER YOU TAKE THEM!

I was looking through the options on my camera the other day and pushed a button to format my disk and ended up erasing my ENTIRE disk! Luckily I had recently downloaded my pictures but I hadn't downloaded the pictures from my shower that the Bergeron's had for me and some random pictures of Elliott.

I was a little pissed but got over it and hopefully I can get some pictures that other people took.

Note to self: Don't wait to download pictures and don't mess with the functions on the camera.

First Twins Game

Kyle's friend Robbie has access to a suite at the Metrodome and a group of us went to the Twins vs. White Sox game. Elliott did great at the game and was really happy that they won too.
